Ugly Christmas Sweater // Party

I have been MIA for about a month and I truly apologize for that. I started a new job working for my old boss again, that mixed with Molly Rose Styling left 0 time for blogging and photoshoots. Well friends, I have finally gotten a handle on my new schedule and I’m ready to get back into the swing.

Why shouldn’t my first post back in a month be about ugly Christmas sweaters? You don’t know why not either? Good. My friends are throwing our annual ugly Christmas sweater party this Friday and it’s one of my favorite events of the year! So just in case you have a similar event on your calendar (I really think everyone should) I wanted to through together some suggestions!

While no, you will never see me in the normal “Christmas sweater” I have thrown together some creative suggestions just for you! If you have the time and you have a Buffalo Exchange or hipster thrift store near you, I suggest starting there. Otherwise, click through the options below to help you stand out in your ugly crowd!

  • My boyfriend and I’s favorite go to meal out is Tom Kha Soup from Ace in Denver. We love sitting at the bar, trying a new appetizer and splitting a bowl. I’ve been pinning Tom Kha soups all week to find the perfect copycat. Tonight I am going to attempt this version. Wish me luck! Otherwise we’re going to have to venture to Ace.
  • One of my favorite clothing items for fall is a leather jacket. On any given day you can bet that I’m wearing one or that I was earlier. I currently own 3 (tan, black with brown sleeves, and dark plum) but I’ve been craving an all black one. Since I can’t stop wearing combinations of all black it seems like the perfect addition to my wardrobe. While still on a budget I’ve been searching for the perfect match and found this Topshop version at Nordstrom that is PERFECT faux leather

  • Although I’m probably not moving from my sisters basement until May 2016, I still can’t stop looking at gorgeous spaces on Pinterest. Right now I’m drooling over dining room lights like the ones below, and draping faux fur rugs over the dining room seats to add a little luxe to the whole room. Adding some eclectic art to the walls, and the perfect fresh flowers for the brightest center pieces. I hope my friends are ready, next summer I’ll be host dinner parties once a week.
  • I’m headed to Dallas on Tuesday for work and to get in a little family/friends time! As some of you know I moved to Denver from Dallas (with a pit stop in Phoenix) one year ago. I can’t wait to see some of my best friends, hang out with my sister and her family, and just be back in my old stomping grounds!

Fall Hippie // Inspyre Boutique

Vest // Denim // Tank

The weather in Denver is FINALLY cooling off. After a 95 degree day, in mid October, we are now finally slinking down into the 70’s, which means it’s fur weather. Anyone that knows me well knows that I am a fur vest fanatic. At this point I believe I own about 8 different ones. I didn’t think I could find another I wanted to add to my collection, until now.

Inspyre Boutique let me get a sneak peak of styles not even on the floor yet, and I have to say, you’re going to love what they have coming! When Madeline pulled out this vest I knew it was going to be my fall staple. I love the Penny Lane inspiration behind it so I had to pair it with these flares also from Inspyre Boutique.

The denim wall at the Park Meadows location was brimming with the perfect skinnies, flares, and boyfriend jeans. Do you live in black denim like I do once the temps drop? They have the perfect pair for you! The best part? They are all around $60. Shop online if you don’t live in the Denver area but if you do, run by one of the now FOUR locations in the area. (They literally JUST opened a brand new location in Southwest Plaza! More on that in a later post...)

Since they’re not online yet, if you want to jump on the vest bandwagon then follow Inspyre on Instagram by clicking here or email info@inspyreboutique.com to get in on this ASAP!

La Senorita Jolie Maxi // Outfit

I’ve known Jennifer Dixon for many years through working in the fashion industry. When I found out that she broke away to do her own thing with La Señorita Jolie, I couldn’t stop following along!

I would say 90% of the time I’m in casual wear. Whether that be a cotton maxi or a tank and yoga pants, that’s my day to day uniform (hey I work from home most days! I’m lucky to brush my teeth! Just kidding... mostly). Her line of comfortable basics that are really anything but basic had me drooling.

So when she reached out to me to style a few pieces I jumped at the chance! I feel too often bloggers are dressed up in looks that don’t actually represent day to day life (me included!). While that’s the fun and artistic side of being a blogger, I find that my clients honestly need the most help with their day to day lives. Not the office, not dinner or drinks on a Friday night.

She also told me about a great opportunity she is extended to Molly Rose Styling readers! They are helping women just like you to be their own entrepreneurs and make extra money. For under $200 you can join the company and be the first in your area to sell and wear LSJ. They offer a great training program to become a stylist and as soon as you join the company you get tons of discounts on clothes and jewels!

For you very special readers, if you sign up to be a stylist in the month of October you will receive 2 inspirational cuffs for FREE! Just click through this link for more information and to get started

Molly Rose
